"Eggbetr" is a hobby project I am creating in my spare time. The goal is to make a cross between a social world simulation and travel-based games such as Oregon Trail.
Congratulations! You've just landed a job in the EGG Corporation -- a company that seeds barren planets with land and life. As EGG's newest Hotel Detective, your job is to investigate problems surrounding the company's patented "hotel" systems.
Meanwhile, a mysterious landmass has been sighted drifting through space. The EGG Corporation suspects it to be an abandoned planetary seed ship. Perhaps a malfunction caused it to stray from its fleet.
You've been assigned to investigate this orphaned ship. As a matter of fact, you're to board the next available transport cruiser and join your teammates on site. Here's hoping it will be a great start to your new career!
Inquisitive Dog
You're fresh on the job, having completed your mentorship just a short while ago. The EGG Corporation's administrative computer, your boss, has utmost confidence in your ability to perform your duties to all specifications. Nothing more, nothing less.
. . . Well, that's just what you tell people. Shall we be more accurate? You're actually on shaky ground, having finished a fruitless mentorship with a lazy retired detective. Your greatest hope is for this first assignment to be easy. A chance to actually learn the ropes and ease yourself into things.
It's just an abandoned chunk of land. Surely nothing too crazy, right?
Mouse Mechanic
An expert on all kinds of machinery. You've heard she may just be the top of her class when it comes to this kind of stuff. It's kind of weird that she's in such an underpaid position, but sometimes people just like to keep things simple.
She'll be helping you out with technical matters and transportation.

He's your man for administrative duties and paperwork. This bun doesn't seem like the kind to travel to mysterious abandoned places, but maybe there's more to him than you realize.

Speaking of odd, the company dossier says that he actually is kind of a strange fella. But there's nothing wrong with that.
